Pros
Decent pay but commission structure seems to be ever-changing. Benefits on par if you can navigate them. Definitely looking to future tech. More on this in the 'cons' section.
Cons
Commissions: Management cannot seem to figure out how to direct payouts in a consistent, meaningful way and accounts shared are not split according to the work that has gone into gaining those accounts; if they have someone calling on an account you've been servicing for years, do not expect them to award that account on your start date. Former name was Downing Wellhead: For the tech, it seems any profits are going into marketing their completions equipment and the short term relationships/payouts this brings. The company was built on design, install and service (key word) of Wellhead equipment long before completions became a big part of the process. All focus in made on completion systems and accomplishments, nothing about wellhead, drilling and aftermarket services. Marketing is 3 to 1 completions to wellhead at best. Management does very little to support the wellhead effort even though this is what the company was built on. There have been many problems with equipment causing customer losses since the merger with the new owner/company. Folks don't forget and news gets around, fast! The true measure of a OFS provider is when these problems occur is how it is handled and apparently, it hasn't been handled very well. These are the mistakes/actions of someone who's not been in this business very long might make. Long term vision: What's hot this morning will be cold by this evening. Direction and focus changes with the wind. Only the BIG winners get the assist from management and management doesn't seem to be interested in anything other than completions where they always give the assist even if its only an outside chance they will get the work. Terribly micro-managed and toxic. Current customers and prospects are many times concerned DWE is having $$$ issues they way they pursue payment and aren't confident they should keep doing or start doing business with you.
