Pros
Beautiful location and Kate is very approachable as a CEO and has built a 'family' environment, (however we all know families aren't perfect.) Some really great Clients and opportunities, if you're in the right place at the right time. Depending on your speciality, roles can be made or catered to suit you and you'll be supported. Really great to see so many different groups, Green, Wellness, Social and ED&I - the parties and freebies (BHFS) are great! Some wonderful people in this business making it what it is and I admire Bray Leino for their green credentials, despite having many Clients in the Oil/Petrol /Engine industry.
Cons
Unless you 'bleed blue' it's probably not the place for you. Regardless of department you feel pressure if you do not work outside of your 9-5:15 hours, whilst work/life balance is so regularly referenced, they haven't got this nailed. Wages are way below par and employees are starting to take note of this, a very poor and insulting 'rise' was given earlier this year, however only benefited those on a lower wage (most without children/families). This was a 'living wage' increase, not performance based - no compensation is rewarded for hard work, despite regular meetings discussing how much money is coming in (not overly inspiring). Recruitment is slow, poor and painful. Many places haven't been filled in over a year, perhaps the above has something to do with this?
