Toxic environment with a high-ego CEO

Pros

You learn there are better options out there

Cons

I'll start with the way they position their new job opportunities: - Direct influence on company strategy and long-term trajectory -- This is sadly false. If you give an opinion the CEO will target you and you will quickly be forced out. If you do want to stay at the company then your best option is to not voice any opinion. It's sad. - Smart, low-ego team with deep domain expertise -- There are a lot of smart employees but unfortunately it doesn't matter. No one is smarter than the CEO who has a HIGH ego. - Based in NYC, with flexibility and trust built into the culture -- This is slightly true, the company is based in NY, but there is no trust. Many have been fooled. - The Product: Sell a category-defining AI platform that is already the industry standard for 20,000+ firms -- False. All in, this is not the place for anyone to want to work. It's a run and hide environment. Don't take a job to have a job. Employee turnover is high and scary.

Pros

It’s a work-from-home setup with flexible hours, which really helps with work-life balance. The company offers great benefits like insurance, health and gym reimbursements, and a yearly offsite. I’ve been part of many innovative projects and always had the freedom to explore new ideas. The team is enthusiastic, collaborative, and there’s no internal politics. You can openly share your thoughts, and it’s been a smooth and fulfilling two years for me here.

Cons

No real cons as such. You just need to adapt to the WFH lifestyle by staying productive and managing your time well.
