In 1972, Ware Malcomb was founded by Bill Ware and Bill Malcomb. Their philosophy of great design, excellent client service and relationship-focused business still rings true today. The firm has a long history of leading design for commercial and corporate real estate.

In 1992, ownership of the firm transitioned to former CEO Lawrence R. Armstrong and retired President Jim Williams. Under their leadership, Ware Malcomb focused on the diversification of services, project types and geography. Upon Jim Williams’ retirement in 2006, Ware Malcomb had grown from a regional firm and established a national presence with offices across the United States.

Ware Malcomb continued to grow during the 2000s, adding Branding and Civil Engineering services and opening 6 new offices, including the first offices outside of the United States.

During the 2010s, the firm continued to expand its services offerings to include Building Measurement, Workplace Strategy, and Land Surveying. 13 new offices were established across the United States, Mexico and Canada signifying a period of rapid growth and success.

In 2020, Lawrence R. Armstrong transitioned to the role of Chairman after 28 years of serving as CEO.

Today, Ware Malcomb is led by current CEO Ken Wink, President Jay Todisco, Executive Vice President Matt Brady and EVP/CFO Tobin Sloane, along with a team of talented design and business leaders.

An international, award winning firm, Ware Malcomb offers integrated design services including architecture, planning, interior design, civil engineering, branding, building measurement, MEP and structural engineering services to diverse clients in both the private and public sectors. We have 30 offices located across the Americas.

From the beginning, designing Vuori’s headquarters was centered around authenticity. Vuori’s rapid growth created the need to consolidate multiple locations into one large headquarters to support collaboration, innovation, and an expanding workforce, while reflecting the brand’s Coastal California roots. This future-focused design was led by a data-informed workplace strategy developed via collaborative envisioning sessions, which gathered input across departments to align space planning with actual work behaviors. Flexibility was prioritized through adaptable layouts and interconnected collaboration hubs designed to evolve with the organization. Wellness and social impact were integral to the design. Abundant natural light, visual connectivity, access to outdoor patios, and movement-driven features, such as a central stair and double-height gathering space, encourage physical activity, mental well-being, and spontaneous interaction. We were honored to support the completion of Schneider Electric's new 90,000 SF Milton facility - a project driven by in innovation, sustainability and strong collaboration. Our Vaughan interior architecture and interior design team partnered with the JLL and Schneider Electric teams to bring this dynamic, integrated environment to life. The new space unites workplace, technology lab, customer experience center and warehouse manufacturing space under one roof. With electrification, eco-conscious finishes and holistic carbon reduction goals at the core, this net carbon zero facility reflects Schneider Electric’s deep commitment to innovation and sustainability.
