Mission Our mission: Deliver dental experiences where every member is diagnosed comprehensively, educated compassionately, and empowered on their wellness journey.

Tend was founded because two things were broken at the same time: the patient experience and the clinician experience. Both had been tolerated for too long. Both deserved a serious answer.

Patients were arriving anxious, leaving with treatment plans they didn't fully understand, and navigating dental offices that prioritized throughput over trust. Clinicians were working with outdated equipment, under pressure to hit production targets, with no real structural support for growth or mentorship. The system that was supposed to make dentistry work, for everyone involved, wasn't working for anyone.

We built Tend to change that.

What We Believe

We believe excellent patient care is inseparable from clinician well-being. A dentist or hygienist who is energized, respected, and well-equipped will always deliver better care than one who isn't. The fastest path to better patient outcomes runs directly through a better clinician experience.

That belief shapes every decision we make. It's why our dental studios are beautiful instead of just functional. It's why we invested in Videa AI and 3D scanning instead of making do with older tools. It's why we structured compensation to attract people who are serious about their craft, and why we built mentorship into our clinical roles rather than leaving it to chance. It's why there are no quotas at Tend, not as a perk, but as a core principle.

We don't believe you can serve patients well while pressuring providers to upsell. We don't believe you can build a high-trust patient relationship inside a high-stress work environment. And we don't believe great dental clinicians should have to choose between doing excellent work and being treated well for doing it.

What We're Building

Tend is building a national network of modern dental studios where clinical excellence is the standard and where the people upholding that standard are genuinely supported.

That means studios designed for the humans who work in them: natural light, calm environments, fully-stocked lounges, and technology chosen to reduce friction and improve precision. It means a culture built on collaboration rather than competition, where your Lead is someone you can actually learn from and your teammates are people you respect. It means compensation that reflects your training and your expertise, communicated transparently and structured fairly.

And it means real growth, for patients, for clinicians, and for the company. We're in 31 studios across six cities today, and we're opening more. The career path here is visible, Lead roles carry real weight, and the clinical bar we hold is high enough that clearing it actually means something.

Why It Matters

Dentistry touches nearly everyone. And for too long, it has felt worse than it should, both for the people receiving care and the people providing it. Tend isn't trying to be a slightly better version of the same old model. We're trying to change what people expect dental care to feel like.

More than 8,000 five-star patient reviews tell us we're on the right track. A growing team of dentists and dental hygienists who chose Tend over other options, and choose to stay, confirms it.

We built this because dental care deserved better. The clinicians delivering it deserved better. We're here to prove both are possible, together, at the same time, without compromise.
Description Tend was built on a simple conviction: dental care deserved better. So did the people delivering it.

Traditional dental practices have spent decades asking clinicians to see more patients, sell more treatment, and feel less. They've treated providers as production units and patients as revenue. We looked at that model, said no, and built something different.

Founded to reimagine what a dental practice could feel like from the inside out, Tend opened its first studio with a clear thesis: the best patient outcomes come from providers who are energized, respected, and equipped to do the best work of their careers. That thesis has held up.

Today, we're 650+ team members across 30+ dental studios in six cities, and we're growing. Our patients have left over 8,000 five-star reviews, and they're written about the people you'd be joining. That's not a coincidence. It's what happens when you build a workplace that clinicians are proud of.

What We Do

Tend operates a growing network of modern dental studios offering comprehensive general dentistry for adults. Our studios serve patients who want a better dental experience: calm, unhurried, and genuinely attentive. We've invested heavily in the physical design of our spaces (natural light, soothing finishes, fully-stocked team lounges) and in the technology that makes care more precise and efficient. Videa AI, 3D scanning, same-day printing, digital X-rays, intraoral cameras, and digital treatment planning are standard across every studio.

We currently serve patients in New York City, Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, Boston, Connecticut, Atlanta, and Nashville, with new cities and studios on the way.

Who We're Looking For

We attract dentists and dental hygienists who take their craft seriously. Clinicians who trained hard and want a work environment that actually matches their standard. People who believe that treating what a patient needs, with the best tools available, in a space designed for excellent care, is what this job is supposed to feel like.

If that's you, Tend was built with you in mind.

What Makes Tend Different

Our four people pillars, Innovation, Collaboration, Appreciation, and Belonging, aren't talking points. They're operational commitments.

Innovation means our studios are the best-equipped rooms most clinicians will ever practice in. Tools that make your care more precise, your day more efficient, and your patients more comfortable. We chose our dental tech stack for clinicians, not accountants.

Collaboration means no quotas, no silos, and no competition between chairs. Our Lead Dentist and Lead Hygienist structures make mentorship a built-in feature of the job, not something you have to chase. Our Studio Manager oversees all clinical operations, ensuring the day-to-day runs smoothly so you can stay focused on patient care. Continuing education is supported for real, not just promised on an offer letter.

Appreciation means competitive base pay, full medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401(k) plan, and paid time off. No surprises. We're transparent about compensation from the first conversation because we want you to ask.

Belonging means walking into a studio every morning that was deliberately designed to make you feel good about being there. A fresh, laundered uniform waiting for you. A team lounge stocked for actual human beings. A diverse, judgment-free culture where leadership is reachable, transparent, and genuinely invested in the people around them.

Growing With You

Tend is growing: new cities, new studios, new leadership opportunities. A Lead Dentist or Lead Hygienist role here is a real career move, not a title change. Internal mobility is something we take seriously, not something we list on job descriptions and forget. The next step in your dental career is visible from day one.

We hold a high clinical bar, and we give you everything you need to clear it. Then we celebrate the people who do.

If you're serious about dentistry, we're serious about your career.
