For Employers
Welcome to Glassdoor.com. If you've checked out our site, you know we're doing a few things that we hope will help people better understand their workplace and make more informed decisions about their career. As an employer, you are a key part of this conversation and we are eager to hear from you.
With Glassdoor.com, your employees — as well as prospective recruits, investors, media, analysts and even customers — can see real-time feedback on employee satisfaction, compensation, and leadership. Although this might feel a bit uncomfortable at first, we think offering more transparency will have far-reaching benefits for everyone involved.
We all know annual surveys are expensive, administratively burdensome and often mistimed, leaving employees and employers struggling with how to make sense of the results and apply the feedback. We have developed Glassdoor to generate healthy and constructive discussion and recognize that the thoughtful participation by our community has a lot to offer your organization.
Specifically, Glassdoor can help you:
- Get free, real-time feedback. Supplement your own annual surveys, with a real time look at what your employees really think. This can help you quickly identify any issues and capitalize on your strengths.
- See how you stack up. Glassdoor lets you instantly see how you compare to the competition. This allows you to focus on the differentiators that matter most to your employees and prospective recruits.
- Get recognized for what matters most. If you're among the best on Glassdoor, that means something. Unlike 'best of' lists we provide unedited and unbiased accounts from employees, much like the people's choice of employer awards. This provides yet another valuable tool to help you recruit top talent.

As an employer, we realize you may be interested in seeing what your employees are saying
about your company. Because our 'give-to-get' model requires users to post a review or
salary of their own before they get access to all the reviews or salaries, we can create
a free employer account for you that allows you to see what your employees are saying without
having to post content of your own. You will also be given special credentials which allow
you to comment on reviews posted for your company as an official 'employer representative'
while still maintaining your anonymity.

We need your help!
As you've probably gathered, we're in the very early stages of
development and data collection with our new beta. In the months ahead, we'll be
introducing many new features designed to help employers engage more actively in this
community. We've already assembled some great minds on our
Board of Directors and
Industry Advisory Panel. Now, we're looking to add
more company representatives from human resources, senior management, and internal
communications functions to our Employer Advisory Panel.
If you're interested in participating in occasional employer focus groups or receiving advance notice of upcoming employer-related features, please send an email to employeradvisors@glassdoor.com with your name, title, affiliation, contact details and a brief note about your role in the company. We'll follow-up with everyone as we continue with our development and data collection.
In the end, if we want to deliver on the promise of open information, we need to meet the needs of both employees and employers. Let us know what you're thinking and we'll let you know we're listening by launching the features you need.
